报告人向旭博士简介

Dr. Xiang is Chief Engineer at Complex Structures Department of Norwegian Public Roads Administration. He is mainly engaged in hydrodynamic engineering design, development and research projects for very long floating bridge, submerged floating tunnel, deep water tension leg based floating bridge and other coastal structures. He is also a member of the national committee for Norwegian Standards SN/K 368: Waves and current loads on coastal structures. Dr. Xiang has been responsible for the research and development of hydro-elastic responses, marine operations, confined waterway maneuverability and other topics related to design and engineering of large sea-crossings in his both industry and academia activities. He co-supervises master and PhD students at different universities. He has earlier experience from DNV, Global Maritime Engineering and Consultancy and CSSRC.


报告摘要

In the past five years, extensive hydrodynamics and hydro-elastic model tests were planned and carried out for the designed world’s longest floating bridge over 5000 meters, which is currently in FEED design. The floating bridge model has a record length of over 52 meters in the ocean basin, and include a floating bridge plus a cable stayed bridge part. The test and design are both first in the world. The lecture introduces the main design, execution, implementation and application process of these tests.
